Bandcamp Recommendation

Bandcamp Recommendations 9/20/2012

I had to include this one based on the fact of the cover alone. Dirty Virgins play a mix of indie, blues, and garage rock. It’s some fine rock and roll. This album is available on 7″ vinyl. They do also have an EP for your pleasure too.

2 Andy’s & a Dave. The Karma Kicks are a band from St. Paul, MN. So go on and get your kicks, just remember that the Karma Kicks back.blues/garage rock from the north. Fine material too!

First presentation of this work group formed in 2008 and Madrid in this Ep find a band that moves into the Southern Rock, Stoner and Metal.Influenced by bands like Kyuss, Black Sabbath, Karma to Burn, Queens Of The Stone Age or Lowrider.Recorded and mixed by Kike Novillo in Jom Studies, Madrid.
Gabi and Mastered by Alberto J. Jover Studies ProcAmp Fernandez, Madrid.

Inspired by stories that intertwine reality and science fiction, the Valdivian of HXMANOIDE we present their first EP. Rescuing and scenic rock band that performed live, this work consists of five themes: Synco, Kanashibari Allah and correspond to a live band that performed in Leisure Restobar (Valdivia – Chile) in January 2011, while Manchurian Candidate and that Alpha Centauri correspond to a test conducted in mid-year.

There’s no real bio for UNNH. No need for one. Proto metal? Check. stoner metal? check. This EP is free but you need to download each track individually.

Here’s some more proto metal/stoner metal music. This time it’s some finely crafted demos by Klovenhoofs.

Here’s an interesting mix of hard rock with some blues rock, psychedelics and a splash of funk. The band is Cube.

Garagerock straight from the desert with some Grunge and Stonerrock influences. A pumping bass-guitar, tight drums, a ripping guitar and a frontman with a good throat; thát’s Orange Maplewood! They combine their love for 60′s and 70′s rockbands with some more recent bands like Queens of the Stone Age, Triggerfinger and Audioslave.

(In my best Eric Cartman voice) You guys, you gotta hear this. Seriously, this is hella cool! Ha! I can imagine it. Anyways, this is ssomething you need to hear. The band is Guadalupe Plata. If you’re familiar with Chili Cold Blood or The Black Keys, you’ll get a good idea of their sound. It’s mostly instrumental southern blues rock. There are vocals throughout but it isn’t the focus. The focus is primarily on the rock. Speechless honestly. It’s damn good. The vocals are in Spanish, but again, the music speaks for itself.

“Two tracks recorded live in an old mental hospital by the damaged minds of a power-trio, high on very potent pot from Salem.”Drugged out funeral doom akin to the likes of Electric Wizard, this epic shit will stone ya, eat ya and spit you out.
