This band is called Sky Valley. Unlike the famous Kyuss album, this band isn’t a desert rock. They come from the desert either but their location of the Dallas/Fort Worth area of Texas is just as hot. Also unlike Kyuss, they don’t play desert rock. With that out of the way, they do have some pretty heavy and gnarly tunes. The instruments are pretty heavy but overall, besides heavy/hard rock, the band does dabble slightly in shoegaze. At times Sleeves EP does seem to have a bit of a 90′s Seattle grunge era influence to it.
Influenced by bands like Black Sabbath, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Motörhead Soundgarden and the trio Whiskyheads, founded by Rodrigo (vocals and guitar), Erik (bass) and Marcelo (drums) and m (Jacareí / SP) in 2007, bet Numa mix of Heavy Blues , hard rock and stoner rock with lyrics that references to the ford of horror movies to topics pessoais.
