Daily Bandcamp Album – And the Devil Rode Forth by BlackHand

BlackHand is a stoner metal band from Deleware. And the Devil Rode Forth is their just released EP. I tell you, it was quite an honor to hear this. They weren’t a band I knew about before they emailed me but I’m glad they did. The guitars are heavy and mighty with skull crunching riffs. They site bands such as Danzig, Alice in Chains, Iron Maiden, Tool, Judas Priest, Early Man, Black Sabbath as a few of their influences. They wear those influences well. I do detect a tad bit of early Metallica. I particularly like the whole NWOBHM feel and the Danzig-ish vocals they got going. If you’ve got 23 minutes to spare, gives these guys a spin, you won’t be sorry.
