Good To Die Records label owner Nik Christofferson send word that he just signed a new band to the ever expanding and ever impressive line up.
“I just picked up a new band from here in Portland called Gaythiest, and they remind me of Jesus Lizard, Quicksand, Torche, etc. Really stellar punk-leaning metal. Their drummer is a beast, and their frontman kinda has a flamboyant, suited, man-about-town thing going on. Caught them live and started working with them a couple weeks later…super stoked for this one”
Bio:
GAYTHEIST. Gay. Atheist. Music for gay atheists? Sure. Music written by a gay atheist? Yes. Music for anyone that enjoys flopping about like a wet noodle in a dryer as chunks of concrete are thrown in every 30 seconds? Definitely.
For the past 15 years Tim Hoff (Bass), Jason Rivera (Guitar/Vocals) and Nick Parks (Drums) have tried to add something new to the Portland musical landscape. Nihilist, Lopez, Das Gravyboat, Fiery Cubist, Females, Elitist, El Cerdo, Trojan Hearse, Sprinkles, Roaring Lions. These bands served as preparation for the inevitable: POWER BOTTOM. When that name turned out to already be taken, they settled on the equally awesome GAYTHEIST.
Gaytheist’s song-writing motto: Keep it short. Play it Fast. Keep it interesting. “Would I want to sit and listen to this 30 times in a row?” Every time the answer is yes, a new Gaytheist song is born. And they are born several times a month, if not a week.
Gaytheist claim to have maintained constant erections since learning the home of Monogamy Party and Sandrider (Good To Die Records) wants to put out their latest effort. The band has completed their new full length, “S T E A L T H B E A T S”, and that sweet shit will be available the end of summer 2012.

Thanks for posting but Chris is not the owner of Good to Die Records, he’ s Gaytheist’s publicist. Nik Christofferson is the owner of GTD. Thanks.
