An instrumental metal band from Nottingham, England. Formed in 2003 and running through to 2006, the Legion recorded three EPs, embarked on several tours, and generally fucked some shit up.
Calling it a day after four years, the members scattered around the country, only for the gravitational pull of the rock to reform the band in 2011 for a pair of triumphant reunion shows.
White light and the empire collapse” is the first ep by the Cruelest Animal. Upon hearing it, people have had a tendency to refer to it as a song. That is how we would like you to experience it. Although it’s divided into 8 separate tracks, white light is really a single piece of music that morphs and transitions through different states of mood and mind. Comprised of various flavors of rhythm and melody entangled with abstract social and political themes, White light and the empire collapse aims to invigorate.
Here’s some rough stoner doom metal with tons sludgy remarks. Without God are from Russia and offer up their 2010 release.
A hard rock band from Gdansk – Poland, formed in 2009. Music inspired by the sound of 70’s and 80’s. A raw blend of heavy rock, metal and stoner.
The Italian duo Le Scimmie was born in the colorful spring of 2007 in Vasto, a seaside town in central Italy.
The ideas of the project are: guitar, drum, minimal power, raw sound.
2007: they recorded their first ep called “L’Origine Ep”.
2008: the band reached the final at “Italia Wave” and remains on tour for a year.
In January 2011 Le Scimmie released their first album entitled “Dromomania”.
One Leg Mary is a balance between sweet melodies and edgy instrumentals. Following the thread from the 80’s indie american scene up to the latest math-rock acts, the band finds its own voice; the voice of four young men from the suburbs of Athens. The rough future-less decline of society in crisis mixed with a peaceful idealistic upbringing, that is reflected in their music.
Krang have been featured before. Here they are again with their Sonic Portage EP. It’s short at only 2 songs but it’s some of the coolest, trippy, psychedelic desert rock you’ll hear. It’s even a bit jazzy.
Soundcrawler are a new band (to me at least). Their recently released Sandcrawler album is fucking kick ass! It’s heavy stoner rock/metal with bits of doomy feeling and has an Alice In Chains feel throughout.
Caffeinated Recordings is a group of good looking people dedicated to documenting live and studio musical performances from the City of Chicago.
Grizzley are a sludge band from Budapest. Sleezy and grindy is how I would describe it. How would you?
