This first band was recommended in a group that I belong to on Facebook. What a pick it is too (Thanks Alex). The group is called Hot Fiction and this is their album Dark Room. The style is a mix between The Black Keys and The Heavy with some delta blues, a little psychedelia and a little touch of The Black Angels. This is a must have!
Next up is a band called Billows. They are formerly known as Old Crow. This is their self titled 3 track EP. It’s doom based stoner metal. They have a great sound to them. The 2nd track, “Appalachian Throne,” is a 21 minute doom infused mind melt. Check them out.
How about some doom based psychedelic riff rock? Well Wizard Eye’s Orbital Rites is right up your alley. 39 minutes of mind blistering tracks headed your way.
The last band to close things off are Broken Betty. This is their self titled EP. It is a mix of hard rock, a little metal and some post grunge all in one. This release is 2 years old but still a good listen. If you like wat you hear, the band is working on more material to be released next month.
